What we treat
Four areas of surgical expertise
Liver, Gallbladder & Pancreas Surgery
Hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) surgery — most commonly laparoscopic gallbladder removal for gallstones, alongside surgery for liver and pancreatic conditions, assessed case by case. Prof Bulbuller has co-authored analysis of over 1,500 acute gallbladder cases.

Why patients travel
Weeks, not months
For many of these conditions, UK patients face a difficult choice: months on an NHS routine surgery waiting list while symptoms continue, or private UK treatment at a significant cost. Antalya offers a third option — consultant-led surgery, usually within two to three weeks of your first consultation, at a fraction of UK private prices.
- Video consultation first — your surgeon reviews your scans, blood tests and history before you travel.
- Fixed package in £ — surgery, hospital stay, hotel, transfers and pre-op tests included.
- Discharge report for your GP — full operative notes and pathology results in English.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
What general surgery procedures are available?
Four areas: liver, gallbladder and pancreas surgery (including laparoscopic gallbladder removal); digestive system surgery of the stomach and bowel (including reflux, hiatal hernia and hernia repair); endocrine surgery (including thyroid); and breast surgery for benign and malignant conditions.
How quickly can I have surgery compared to the NHS?
Most patients are assessed and operated on within two to three weeks of their first consultation. After a video consultation and review of your scans and test results, we propose surgery dates that fit your travel plans.
Is keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery available?
Yes — wherever clinically appropriate. Gallbladder removal, hernia repair, reflux surgery and many digestive procedures are performed laparoscopically: smaller incisions, less pain, faster recovery.
How long would I stay in Antalya?
Gallbladder and hernia surgery: around 4–5 nights total. Reflux and thyroid surgery: around 5–6 nights. Complex liver, pancreatic or digestive surgery is planned case by case.
